Tasting: Neat
Nose:
Very mildly smoked sherry notes. Awesome for such a young whisky, and is not from Islay! Some milk chocolate with a very sharp minty notes. Sour plum, my favorite. Kind of malty spirity. Fresh barley. A very complex nose for a young 10YO whisky. Hats down to G&M. I like how the sherry notes keep lingering and go front and back. / 22.0
Palate:
Smoky, pretty smoky. Not Islay kind of smoke, much cleaner. Fiery sweet. Liquorice. A bit oily on the mouth. Some saltiness yes. Some herbs. / 21.5
Finish:
Biscuits, herbal and nutty. Very nice bitterness. Very long for a 10YO. / 17.0
Balance:
This is where this whisky shines. The lightly smoke and sherry is perfectly blend together. / 22.0
Price:
Bang for your bucks. Definitely one of the best 10YO on the market. / 4.5
Final Verdict:
A very good whisky for novice, at the same time a very good sipping whisky for connoisseurs. Most importantly it is very affordable and easily available. / 87.0
